Mac'sMen

Mac's Men is my trilogy that is being published in both electronic and print format by Swimming Kangaroo Books. I just finished editing Pandora's Justice, the second in the series. I have to tell you after this last round of edits I reread it and could not believe it. Pandora's Justice is now much better than it was when it was originally published in 2004! It was a finalist for the Eppies in the Romantic Suspense category Look for it sometime late October or Early November. Here's the blurb

Someone is stalking Pandora Reilly, someone dark and sinister, someone who knows things only her ex husband would know. Her dead ex husband. Justin Andrews is hired to protect her and her children from the danger surrounding them. Can he save Pandora and her children without sacrificing his heart? Or will his past come back to haunt

Out Now is EZ Lovin' the first book in the series, Here is an excerpt for it. In this Mac and EZ are attempting to convince Abigail to masquerade as E.Z.'s lover. At least in public....

Mac interrupted her train of thought. "I want you to listen to something."
"Sure." She wondered just what Mac was up to now as the tape machine clicked on and Sidney's voice filled the room.

She listened to the tape of the phone call in horror and disgust. How could Sidney do this? What did he hope to gain? When the tape finished she sat there for a few minutes, trying to absorb everything she had just heard. When she finally spoke her voice sounded harsh even to her ears. "I bet EZ loved hearing this. I'm surprised he didn't stay around to gloat."
"He doesn't know I'm playing this for you. He's afraid you'd be hurt by hearing it."
He'll know now, she thought to herself before answering Mac. "Why are you even suggesting this? You have your evidence on tape. I assume you'll be arresting Sidney."

We aren't going to arrest him, yet," Mac explained.
"Why not?" She was totally confused.
"Courts don't always look kindly on the use of wiretaps as evidence. Beside, Sidney is only one cog in the wheel. We want to stop the whole operation."
Understanding dawned in her mind. "So, that's where this little scheme of yours comes in."
"Yes, and before I go any further, let me tell you once again that EZ didn't want to do this. I had a hell of a time convincing him."
"All right, so convince me."
"That's right, partner, convince her." EZ hobbled back into the room on his crutches. Taking a chair from the table he sat down and lifted his leg up on another chair before turning to them both. "I told you I didn't want her to hear that tape."
"I do have a name." Abigail's voice bristled as she spoke.
"Yes, you do, Abigail."
"Thank you." She should be glad he hadn't called her Abby. He probably doesn't think I have enough brains to pull it off, she thought. "So, explain to me once again what it is you want me to do."
Mac looked from Abigail to EZ and back again before continuing. "All right," she began. "Sidney is convinced that there is something going on between you two. If what you told me is true, then he's passed that information on to half the people you know in Boston."
"At least," Abigail groaned, remembering some of the calls she'd received
"Why don't we take full advantage of that by letting everyone think Sidney is telling the truth? This way EZ would be able to accompany you to galleries, parties, wherever and listen for information. You might hear something in a conversation that sounds perfectly innocent, when in fact it is anything but. EZ would be able to pick up on that."

"Does Justin know about this?" she asked them, not believing that she was actually considering this ludicrous scheme.
"We haven't told him. We wanted to wait and see if you'd agree first," EZ answered.
"Would he approve?"
"Probably not," EZ answered.
"I can deal with Justin," Mac said.
Abigail thought about it for a minute before answering. "I'll do it on two conditions."
Mac and EZ exchanged glances. "Sure. What are they?" EZ asked.
"I want to be there when you arrest Sydney. And I want you to remember that this masquerade ends once we are no longer in public."
