ForEvver--Futuristic Science Fiction Romance

New Release! Futuristic science fiction romance: ForEvver by Susanne Marie Knight, published by Awe-Struck Publishing, http://www.awe-struck.net/.

In the year 2102, the Fountain of Youth exists for only a select few. But you can’t cheat death ForEvver.

Flavia Gracchus reluctantly agrees to deliver a special shipment from her home on the Moon to ForEvver Rehabilitation CEO, Reid Evver. What she doesn’t know is that Evver, a man much older than he appears, intends to marry her and start a family. How can she escape Evver’s clutches and wed the man of her dreams?

Ambitious Jason Maverick can’t believe his new assignment: to babysit Reid Evver’s future wife, a Moon native, by escorting her on a sightseeing tour. But the more time Jason spends in Flavia’s company, the more she captivates him. How can he propose to the woman he’s been waiting for all his life when she’s all but bought and paid for by his mysterious, unscrupulous boss?

EXCERPT:

If nothing else, Flavia Gracchus was pragmatic. Sitting in the unicopter taxi on the way to the restaurant, she ignored the unfamiliar sights of congested skyways and manmade mountains of steel and glass. She also ignored the handsome, but aggravating man seated next to her, too close for comfort. Thigh to thigh, actually.

No, she couldn’t think about that. She had to focus on what Reid Evver had said. What he had offered. Medical director of the new ForEvver Rehabilitation facility at Copernicus City. Manage the complex the way it should be managed, along with having a wonderful position for her brother, Claudius. She could provide excellent care, help so many people--it truly was a dream come true. All she had to do was have her feet planted here on Earth for one month. Only thirty measly days. Play the sightseer.

And be in this guy’s company.

She shivered. Jason Maverick was a womanizer. A notorious one, her instincts told her. He better not expect anything out of the ordinary from this assignment. Or she would personally make sure he lost the particular part of his anatomy that he was so fond of mentioning.

“Does flying bother you?” Jason shifted in the tiny seat of the cab, which pressed his thigh more tightly against hers. “Probably doesn’t look like it, but we’re almost at the landing spot. It’s amazing how these unicopters navigate through Tri-Metro’s downtown maze.”

Some areas of the Moon had far more dizzying depths to its craggy surface than these oddly shaped buildings. She set the man straight. “No, it’s the cold. I’ve never experienced winter before.”

He looked over at her as if evaluating what he was seeing. His grey eyes darkened. “No, I guess you haven’t, have you? Would you care to wear my jacket?”

His designer suit jacket and her work overalls? No, no way. These sophisticated Metros would take one look at the pathetic sight and end up in analysis for a year.

She shook her head, freeing several wisps of frizzy hair to dance around her face. “That’s very kind of you, but I’ll be fine.”

He shrugged. “Up to you. We’ll have to get you some warmer clothes, though.”

For the first time in her life she was embarrassed, out of place, at a distinct disadvantage. She flushed.

Drat. Still, she had to admit that Reid’s plan to get her familiar with Earth did have merit, and benefits. There were so many activities here that were unknown to her. In fact, she could actually arrange to attend a baseball game so when she returned to Tychotown, she could have a more meaningful conversation with her client, Donald Helman.

The unicopter landed on the pad with a heavy thud. Once the whirl of engines and unicopter blades subsided, the pilot opened the door for them. Jason alighted first, then held out his hand for her.

She had no recourse but to take it. His fingers firmly grasped her, and again warm, strange tingles traveled up her arm. Comforting, yet disturbing at the same time.

As soon as she was out of the unicopter, she let go of his hand. Darn it all, while her body might signal that she was attracted to Jason Maverick, she herself was definitely not an admirer.

NEW from Paige Tyler - VALUABLE CARGO!

VALUABLE CARGO

They Don't Make Guys Like Him Anymore!

Tanna Aldrick is the captain of a deep space salvage ship in the twenty-ninth century. When she and her all-female crew stumble upon an ancient ship floating in the middle of nowhere, they figure they might be able to find a few valuable tidbits left on the decrepit spacecraft. But what they discover is more valuable than anything they could have ever imagined finding – a gorgeous hunk of a man from the twenty-second century, perfectly preserved in cryogenic suspension. Mankind has changed a lot in seven-hundred years, and six-foot-four, blond-haired, blue-eyed guys like him aren’t just rare; they’re nonexistent.

From the moment they revive him, Tanna finds herself falling for their handsome passenger. As logical as her reasons for not getting romantically involved with him are, however, she still finds herself inviting him into her bed.

Garrick Carlisle wakes up after seven-hundred years in hypersleep to find that everything and everyone he knew is gone. Lost and disconnected, the only thing that keeps him from completely losing it is the beautiful and sexy, dark-haired ship’s captain who rescued him.

Tanna isn’t the only person interested in Garrick, though. A man like him would bring a high price on the slave blocks on any number of planets and there are a lot of unscrupulous people in the galaxy willing to do anything to get their hands on him.

How far will Tanna go to protect her valuable cargo and what will Garrick do to stay with the woman he has come to love?

Excerpt:

To her surprise, the derelict ship hadn’t been stripped at all. There were two old looking satellites in the hold, as well as dozens of containers. They were all marked with a series of numbers and letters that didn’t mean anything to her, so there was no way to tell what was in them.

Taking out her radiac, Tanna scanned the hold for radiation. If there had been anything really dangerous, the sensors on her ship would have picked it up, but she wanted to be sure. There was a little bit of reading around the satellites, but nothing significant. The containers were completely safe.

“This looks like old test equipment of some type,” Vi said from behind her.

Tanna turned to see that Vi had opened one of the containers and was looking at a collection of metal instruments. Tanna didn’t have a clue what any of it was, but it was ancient, which meant it was going to be worth some money.

Curious, Tanna made her way over to the box Vi had opened while the other girl and Leala went off to explore the control room. She had barely started investigating when Leala’s voice came through the speaker in her headset.

“Um, Captain, I think you should see this.”

Her brow furrowing at the odd tone in her engineer’s voice, Tanna immediately set down the piece of equipment she’d been holding and headed for the control room. Seeing Vi standing just inside a doorway on the opposite side of the room, she quickly made her way over to the woman.

Letting the light from her torch play about the inner room, Tanna saw that it was a joint galley and med-bay.

“What did you find?” she asked as she stepped into the room. “Something valuable?”

Leala was standing in front of a glass-enclosed container of some sort. From her vantage point, Tanna couldn’t see what was inside it, but there was a series of brightly colored blinking lights at the bottom of the unit.

The engineer turned to her with a smile. “Oh, yeah.”

Frowning at the woman’s cryptic answer, Tanna walked over to where her engineer stood, only to stare at the pod in stunned silence. Leala had wiped off the light coating of frost from the upper portion of the pod, and through the glass, Tanna saw that there was a man inside. A completely gorgeous – and from the parts she could see – very well-built man who, shockingly, appeared to be in perfect health. The pod container must be some type of hypersleep chamber, she thought. She had heard of those, but no one had used them in over five-hundred years, not since the invention of the faster-than-light Tachyon drive. That meant the ship was even older than they had thought, back from the days of sub-light space travel.

The fact that the man was still alive after so long wasn’t the only thing that made him unusual. Not only was he all beautifully sculpted muscle, but he was also unusually tall as well. The hypersleep chamber was at least seven feet long and the guy did a pretty good job of filling it up. That meant he was at least six-four or six-five. At five-ten, Tanna was as tall as any man she’d ever met, and taller than some, but this guy would clearly tower over her. She let her gaze run over his broad shoulders and muscular chest appreciatively. Damn, the guy was built. The hypersleep chamber must be equipped with some type of electro-stimulation to keep him in such great shape for so long, she thought.

Her gaze went to his face. She had been so distracted by his body that she hadn’t really spent much time looking at it before, but as she took in his square jaw and chiseled features, she decided he had to be the most attractive man she’d ever seen. She stared at his dark-blond hair, fascinated by the color. She hadn’t seen that many people with blond hair in her life. And most of the people she had seen had artificially colored it. She had no doubt his was the real deal. All at once, she found herself wondering what color his eyes were. They had to be blue, she thought. That would match his hair perfectly.

Glancing at the other two women, Tanna saw they were equally entranced by him, and she watched breathlessly as Vi began to wipe more frost off the front of the glass to reveal a washboard stomach and lean hips.

“Vi, that’s enough,” Tanna ordered abruptly, pushing the other woman’s hand away when she started to move lower.

Vi frowned. “I just wanted to see if he’s built like that everywhere.”

Tanna wouldn’t have minded seeing more of him herself, especially since the only men she had seen naked in a while had been the computer-generated ones conjured up in the holo-chamber on their ship. And they definitely hadn’t looked anything like him. But ogling a man while he was in a hypersleep pod just seemed wrong.

“Try to control yourself.” She glanced at Leala. “Do you think he can be revived?”

Leala chewed on her lip as she eyed the equipment. After a moment, she shrugged. “The chamber’s really old, but everything seems to be functioning properly. Sela would probably know more, though.”

Sela Fanaday was the salvage ship’s resident bio-system engineer, but she also served as their med-tech when they needed one.

Tanna turned her gaze back to the handsome man asleep inside the pod. “Is this ship safe enough to bring on board?” she asked Leala.

The girl shrugged. “I don’t see why not, Captain. The sensors didn’t pick up any hazardous cargo and I haven’t seen anything dangerous. There’s isn’t even any fuel left.”

Still gazing at the man, Tanna flipped over to the ship’s frequency on her radio and spoke into the headset. “Malana, we’re bringing the ship aboard.”

“Did you find anything valuable?” the first officer asked.

Tanna only smiled. Oh yeah, they had definitely found something valuable.

* * * *

Dear God, he was absolutely perfect, Tanna thought as she gazed down at the sleeping man an hour later. The blanket that Sela had carefully tucked around him left his chest and shoulders exposed to her appreciative gaze, and she had to fight off the almost irresistible urge to reach out and run her hands over his smoothly sculpted muscles. How many hours a day would a guy have to work out to look like this?

After bringing his ship aboard, they had transferred his hypersleep chamber to their own med-bay so Sela could examine him, which the woman had done once she had gotten over her shock at seeing their cargo. Since no one used stasis chambers like his anymore, Sela had to do some research in the computer archives to figure out how to revive him. Following the procedure she had found on the computer, Sela had slowly brought him out of hypersleep. Tanna had expected him to come awake right away, but the other girl had told her that wasn’t how it worked. It could take hours for him to wake up. According to the med-tech, though, his vitals were strong, which was a good sign. That didn’t stop Tanna from worrying, though.

Getting her crew to focus on anything but the man laying in the med-bay had been almost impossible since then. Especially after Sela had hurried to the shuttle bay and briefed everyone in great detail about her patient and those parts of his anatomy they hadn’t seen yet. Her description had brought the rest of the crew running to the med-bay so they could take a look for themselves. Sela was just about to pull the blanket down for a little show-and-tell when Tanna finally pulled rank and tossed the other women out of the med-bay, sending them back down to the shuttle bay to take a closer look at his ship and the salvage it contained. Anything to distract them.

A few minutes ago, Malana had called on the ship’s intercom to let her know they had located the class and ident-number of his ship. According to the database, it had disappeared in the year 2104. Other than that, the computer didn’t know a lot about it. Or him. Malana had found some uniforms in a storage locker, though, with the name Carlisle on them. There was a shoulder patch of a flag with red and white stripes and stars in the corner on one sleeve. There was another patch underneath that, this one with the letters ISEA. A search of that acronym had turned up the name International Space Exploration Administration, an Earth-based government agency that had conducted space research in the early part of the twenty-second century. Tanna shook her head. Well, whoever he was, he was going to be in for one hell of a shock when he woke up. If he woke up.

Tanna was just wondering if she should call Sela so the other girl could check on him again when the man’s eyelids suddenly fluttered open and she found herself gazing into the most incredible pair of blue eyes that she had ever seen. She’d been right about the color, she realized a little breathlessly. And they did go perfectly with his blond hair.

Cruising by JP Bowie

Adam Brenner is looking for a life change...

Adam Brenner is looking for a life change when a long-time friend and associate, Tom Hathaway, offers him a position as casino manager aboard The Maid of the Seas, a luxury cruise ship out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

Trying to leave behind haunting memories of an alcoholic boyfriend on a path to destruction, Adam succumbs to the Latin charm of Vittorio Borghese, the ship's architect. After a night of hot sex, Adam thinks he might have found the one to help him forget the misery of the past, but Adam soon discovers that life on board a floating resort has its drawbacks to go hand-in-hand with the perks.

Dismayed by the hostility shown toward him by the ship's captain, and Vittorio's seeming indifference, Adam finds comfort in the company of Brett Jarvis, a talented singer/guitarist who plays nightly in the ship's lounge bar. The two men quickly form a warm and loving relationship, and Adam starts to look forward to 'a life on the ocean wave', thinking that it will now all be plain sailing. However, he soon discovers that out on the vast regions of the Atlantic, sudden squalls, both natural and man-made, happen all too frequently – and some people are definitely not the great guys they appear to be.

Stephen seems to think otherwise. He's sure Andrew is incapable of saying no to a cheap thrill. But, at the same time, he's more than happy to provide Andrew with the prefect opportunity to prove him wrong.

Andrew has no doubt that he can say no to everything the younger man offers him for the next twelve hours, and that's all he needs to do to win their bet. He's also quite looking forward to cutting the would-be dominant down to size in the process. There's no way an inexperienced nineteen year old is going to receive his submission. Andrew will obviously find it easy to say no to that. Won't he....?

Reader Advisory: This story contains references to light hearted dominance and submission.

Sex Therapy: Spiritual Style

Sex Therapy: Spiritual Style
Shiela Stewart

http://www.breathlesspress.com/erotic/temptations/sex-therapy-spiritual-style.html

Therapy was never so sexy…or so dangerous.

Paranormal Investigators, Gina and James Anderson have lost the pizazz in their marriage. Despite being near the verge of separating they take a job investigating a haunted house. Little do they know the spirit within has ulterior motives. Sex is the name of the game and the spirits are determined to win.

EXCERPT:

She’s getting moist for you.

He’d never heard voices before. Never on the job or in his daily life. But he couldn’t deny the coincidence as the voice echoed in his head registered on the EMF.

Her body aches to be touched by you, to be pleased by you.

“Little do you know, buddy. She hasn’t wanted me in a good long time.”

“Here you go. There’s a baseline temp of 20 degrees Celsius in the other room. It didn’t change as I was walking through the hall.”

Startled by her appearance, James cleared his throat and held up the EMF. “Got another spike. So far, the kitchen and two bedrooms are registering activity. Let’s check the third bedroom.”

She longs to feel you in her hands, to know as you grow to harden you grow because of her.

He left the room, feeling a tightness in his groin, something he hadn’t felt in a long time.

“Temp in here is the same as the other room,” Gina announced as she entered the third bedroom.

"I’m not as hot in here as I was in the other room though. Maybe we should test the temp in the first room.”

“There’s a spike in this room as well. But you’re right, we should check the temperature in the first bedroom. Leading the way, he entered the first bedroom and the heat seared into him.

“Major spike in temperature here. We have a hot spot.”

She wasn't kidding. He was feeling it right to his toes. “See anything now on the camera?”

“Hang on. Here, take this.”

He took the Thermometer and as their hands touched her felt the heat engorge him.

“Oh…wow.”

He took the thermometer form her, taking a deep breath. “What?”

“Did you just…feel something?”

“Like what?” Like he didn’t know.

Her body craves you, need you to fill her. She wants you on top, pressing yourself to her, separating her as you thrust inside.

“I don’t know. Like…a warm…sexual desire?”

So it wasn't just him. “I did. Interesting.”

“Was anything like this mentioned in the file?”

“The couple said they felt things in the bedroom, weird things, scary things but nothing too specific.” He hadn’t really urged them to explain what they meant. Which wasn't like him and only added credence to his thoughts of something being wrong with him. He just didn’t care like he once did.

“And you didn’t ask?”

“No, I didn’t ask.” His remark was short and filled with a great deal of attitude. “What do you pick up on the camera?”

“Nothing.”

“What do you mean, nothing?” Scooping the camera out of her hand, he held it up and scanned the room.

“Just what I said, nothing, but feel free to see that for yourself.”

He was, and it pissed him off. “We’ve got a tricky one.”

Sins of the Cloth

Sins of the Cloth

Can two days of purging sinful thoughts be enough for a priest who desires endless lust?
A priest goes to an exclusive club to find escape from his sinful lusts. Thinking if he uses beautiful Collette for two days he can purge himself of his unholy desires, he can return to his church without the lust that has been distracting him from his service.
Will two days with Collette be enough to still his sinful thoughts for good or will she only make it worse?
EXCERPT
I am a simple man who has always followed my faith and the righteous path. Until recently, my thoughts have been pure and clean but upon witnessing a doctor a young woman of “hysteria” using instruments that stimulated her body so that she wreathed as if possessed, I found myself looking to those of my own congregation with lust and sinful fantasy. Thus is how I came to find myself in the company of two gentlemen, Charles Weaver and Branson Carmichael, in a St. Louis building that I did not even know existed.
“If is not often we are approached by men of the clergy,” Charles, the leaner of the men spoke from behind the desk while the other stood near the door. “Would you like a glass of wine?”
“Yes, please.” I would have been thankful for anything to wet my dried throat and to still the nervousness that raced my heart. I watched as Branson rapped his knuckles against the wooden door and called out for wine, his deep voice vibrating through the small office. A moment later, the door opened and a woman, completely nude, entered with a tray that held the bottle of wine and three glasses. She set the tray on the corner of the desk and waited and looked to Charles.
“Just one, my sweet,” Charles spoke softly, “For the Reverend.”
The woman poured the wine and brought the glass to me, which I took with trembling hand.
“That will be all ….for now,” Charles told her and she left as quietly as she’d entered. “That is Emma. She is my wife and a slave to both me and Bran. She serves us well.” I shifted uncomfortably in my seat wondering what devil ruled this place where a man would share his wife with another and expose her to strangers.
“But let us get to business and how we may we serve you, Father. First, anything that takes place within the walls of this building and the surrounding grounds is kept strictly confidential. Second, our fees are based on the client’s needs and what we must provide to fulfill them. Please tell me the nature of your visit here today.”
I drank heavily of the wine before setting it aside and taking a breath. I relayed my witness of the doctor and his patient and of the condition I found myself in. I spoke quickly, my gaze locked on the wall behind Charles’ head. It was easier to speak of the sinful nature of my desires that way.
“I fear if I do not take measures to rid myself of these urges, that I will eventually prey upon those who turn to me for salvation,” I concluded and reached again for the wine.
“Interesting.” Charles leaned back in his chair, scrutinizing me with narrowed gaze. “And how do you think to purge yourself of your secret sinful yearnings?”
“I am a simple man but I am not a stupid man. I know that doctor was using his profession to satisfy some urges of his own. The woman was not in hysterics as he diagnosed, at least not until he began his practice to cure her of the non-existing illness. I admit I was aroused by his deception and the woman’s acceptance of his authority over her.” I hesitated and when Charles said nothing, continued, my words twisting knots in my stomach. “My position allows me certain authority, responsibility if you will, over those who seek salvation from their own sins.” I saw the realization cross the man’s face and was grateful I would not have to offer more details of the fantasies I had entertained.
“I assume you wish a woman, one who seems filled with more sin than another, perhaps a prostitute wishing to rid her body of the years of accumulated sin so that she may live the rest of her life by God and not of the sins of the flesh.”
I swallowed loudly. The man had pinpointed the very thing I’d imagined. He nodded as if I’d verbally consented he’d been correct though no words were spoken by me.
“Have you any physical attributes that you prefer in the woman?” When I still said nothing, he offered suggestions, “Large breasts, brunette, petite, voluptuous?”
“I am not particular about the physical attributes.” I drained the wine from my glass, grateful when Charles moved to refill my drink.
“I’ve heard that red hair itself is considered sinful in some parts of the world.” Branson spoke from his corner.
Charles’ brow rose and he turned to look back at Branson. “I didn’t know that. Interesting.” He faced me again. “Will you require just one woman or more than one?”
“Just one.”
“For obvious security reasons that come with the type of service we provide, our clients are not allowed to leave our premises with the woman we provide without escort. A room or rooms can be provided for your use.”
“Just one room.” My heart pounded. This was going to happen. The realization that this had gone from an inquiry into the planning of the actual fantasy kicked me in the stomach.
“For how long will you need use of the room?”
I hadn’t considered that. How long would I want to partake in the fantasy? How long would it take to rid me of the desires that had crept into my mind? An hour? A night?
“Two nights.”

Passion of the Wolf

Passion of the Wolf
Sable Grey
http://www.breathlesspress.com/erotic/erotic/passion-of-the-wolf.html

Can the love of one man, spanned over an entire tribe, win over the heart of his captive, his newly wed wife?

Abandoned by her father and family, Cait must fend for herself amongst the savages that overtook her home; her land.

Thrust into a marriage she detests, she must risk escape or face her husband, the leader of the Viking horde. However, not all is as it seems.

Beil, leader of her captives and her new husband, tries to calm her but only ignites his own passion deep inside. Cait finds she is not completely cold towards him as her own lusts and desires begin to take over...

Will she find out his secret before it's too late? or will she succumb to his love and his bed...?

EXCERPT

“You may take your wife and one of your daughters and leave this place.” Biel continued. “Or you can stay and do my bidding as your new master.”

“I cannot leave without my entire family,” Aengus argued. “I will leave but with my wife, both my daughters, and my nephew.”

“Then you choose to remain.” Biel glanced back at Cait. “And I will take one of your daughters as my woman.”

“You cannot. You will not!” Aengus lunged but two of them grabbed him before he could get to Biel.

“I can and I most certainly will.” Biel’s gaze dragged to Fiona. “But you may choose which.”

“I will not choose,” Aengus refused.

“Take her!” Rebekka suddenly pointed at Cait, pushing Fiona behind her. “Take her and we will leave this place.” Cait stared at Rebekka. She’d known the woman had always resented the love Aengus had for his first wife, her mother, but until that moment she’d never felt unloved herself.

Fiona howled and pulled from her mother’s embrace running to Cait’s embrace. “No!”

“We will not leave. And I will not choose.”

“Then you will die and your wife will make the choice in your stead.” Biel unhooked an ax from his side.

“Me!” Cait stepped forward, despite Fiona’s wail, and waited until Biel turned to look back at her. “He chooses me. Leave him alone.”

“No, Cait,” Ewan argued.

“Cait,” Aengus’ voice was defeated when Biel inclined his head and reattached his weapon.

“Take the rest of them to the tower and keep them there,” Biel commanded and his men moved to do as he bid. Cait watched them as they were taken from the hall and up the stone stairwell. Fiona’s protests and Rebekka’s weeping quieted as they were taken farther into the belly of the castle, leaving an uneasy silence to bounce around the corners of the hall.

“It was a wise choice.”

“Choice?!” Cait whirled to face their captor, leaping forward to assault him. Her fists beat upon the rough leather of his armor until his strong fingers wrapped around her wrist. But she would not settle. Instead she leaned forward and sank her teeth into his solid jaw. She heard him grunt moments before the coppery taste of him filled her mouth. She collapsed to her knees when he shoved her from him.

“Very good, Biel,” one of his men, the largest built of the five, returned and called from the stairwell above them. “You succeed in beating upon a helpless woman the moment I turn my back.” He began descending.

Cait smiled evilly when Biel lifted his hand to his jaw. She would show him just how helpless she could be. Jumping to her feet, she swiped the candelabrum from its place on the table against the wall and whirled, swinging it into his shoulder with a shout. She swung again. And a third time until he grabbed it and wrestled it from her.

Her gaze darted around for the next weapon but she didn’t move quickly enough and the Viking’s thick arm wrapped around her, trapping her hands at her sides. She yelled and kicked at him until he raised his hand. Closing her eyes, she waited for the blow that never came.

“If his men had nearly as much fight as his offspring, we would never have gotten past the gates.”

“What happened to your face, brother? Did she bite you?” The man behind them drew near, but Cait didn’t look behind her. She knew the leader was the real threat. Her father had taught her much about men and war. Biel Vard was the core of the evil that had rained upon them.

“More beast than we,” Biel murmured, shoving her away from him.

“The other girl and the mother are helpless and weak. The father took a crack at Boris. He is not feeble despite his age.” The man’s fingers touched Cait’s arm and she jerked away, placing a few steps between her and the men.

“Neither am I. You will have to kill me before I allow you to touch me with your filthy body.” She took several more steps backwards then turned and started to bolt.

“Then bring me her sister.” Biel’s deep voice stopped her at the doorway. Cold fear slipped through her body. Fiona wasn’t like Cait. This hulking Viking would break her sister.

“Send them away from here and I will do as you wish,” she countered without looking back.

“You are in no position to barter with me.” Biel’s heavy step drew closer and then stopped behind her. When he spoke it was directly next to her ear, causing her to jump despite her attempts to appear unafraid of him.

“It is not that wisp of a sister that I want anyway. I’d rather it be you.”

Cait balled her fists. “Why would you think I cared what you wanted? You and your dogs stormed my home and are ripping my family apart.” She faced him slowly. “I am not stupid. I know what you mean to do and why you mean to do it. By wedding and bedding me it gives you more legal right to claim my home as your own. Is it not enough that you have forced your way in here? That you shall force yourself into me? Are you so weak you feel you cannot accomplish what you mean to do without sending my family away now?”

“Bring the vicar.” Biel’s gaze never left Cait’s.

A few moments later a man in a robe was brought into the room. Biel reached forward, took her by the arm and walked back to the center of the room. He inclined his head as Cait jerked her arm from his grasp.

URBAN WOLF - The Wolf Hunt Begins!

I'm delighted to announce the release of Urban Wolf, the first of my new futuristic werewolf series, Wolf Hunt.

Here's the blurb and an adult excerpt from Urban Wolf, just out on Friday!

Wolf Hunt 1: URBAN WOLF
By MARIE TREANOR
Now available from Changeling Press

A man wakes up naked and alone in a city doorway -- with no memory of how he got there or who he is. The locals assume he’s a drunken pervert and try to drive him away. Only journalist Rose Winter believes he’s more than that, but even she isn’t prepared for the truth.

Following up a story, Rose finds herself hunted through the city at night by a giant wolf. As her wolf story begins to converge with her sexy naked man, her own secret becomes impossible to keep. Loyalty and duty can’t prevent these enemies from becoming lovers on the run, but they both know their love is doomed as much by their own nature as by interplanetary politics.

He threw the spatula into the pan and ran his fingers through his hair. His hand shook. With oddly intense compassion, she realised the man was damaged, that she’d been right all along. He had a story all right. But like this, he was way beyond her ability to deal with.

“Look, I’ve got to go,” she said awkwardly. “I’ll leave my card in case you want to talk…”

But at that, his head snapped up. “Oh no, wait a minute.”

In two strides, he was across the room, backing her into the door. Panic flared. Stay calm, don’t upset him… Smart arse. Who can take care of herself? She was afraid to breathe.

His dark, troubled eyes stared down into hers. “Don’t run off. I need to talk to you.”

“Do you need to do it while rubbing noses?”

A hint of confusion flickered in his eyes, chased by a gleam of amusement. “No, but I find I quite like it.”

He was too quick, too direct, and yet under the darkening of his eyes, her fear drained away. What was left was an excitement that tightened her nipples and made her stomach tingle.

“You’re very beautiful,” he said softly. He bent his head, breathing in, as though inhaling the scent of her hair, the skin of her face and neck. “And alluring, even if…” He broke off. His warm breath glanced off her lips, her cheek, the tiny hairs at the side of her neck and she shivered.
“What are you doing in this classy part of town?”

She swallowed. “Following a story.” His hard chest brushed against her breasts.

“About me?”

“God, no. Why do you say that?”

“Because I can’t rid myself of the notion that I know you.” His head lifted, the dark eyes pierced hers as though pinning her to the wall. It should have been scary, and yet her chief thought was that he had beautiful eyes, deep, dark and intense, the eyes of a passionate and complex man.

Pulling herself together, she said evenly. “You don’t. I came down here to find the people who reported seeing a giant wolf last night. Several of them live near here. On the way, I saw the crowd gathered around you.”

“And now you want my story too?”

“If it’s newsworthy. Would you give me it?”

His eyes dropped to the region of her lips, and the butterflies in her stomach began to squirm downward. He sounded distracted as he replied, “With my photo on the Newscreens? No way.”

“It must be frightening not remembering who you are,” she said breathlessly.

“Actually, I’m starting to find it curiously… uplifting. I have no baggage, no past to temper what I want to do.”

“Which is?”

“To kiss you,” he said, and did.

His lips took hers strongly, making her gasp into his mouth in surprise. His tongue drove between her lips, and the tingling in her pussy caught fire. Her hands, which had been reaching up with the vague intention of pushing him away, now clung to his powerful shoulders, drawing him closer instead until his hard chest pressed against her aching breasts.

When he manoeuvred his lower body onto hers, his hardening cock against her stomach, she let out a tiny moan. Her pussy clenched and released a flood of sexual moisture into her panties. His arms were around her, hard and irresistible. She knew she’d never be able to throw him off, but nothing had prepared her for the sheer, overwhelming pleasure of being held helpless in the arms of a stranger, this stranger, while he kissed her mouth with wild, sensual thoroughness, and ground his cock into her, dragging her up on her tiptoes so that he could fit it between her thighs and find the hot, damp tenderness of her pussy. She was so wet she was sure he could feel it, even through her clothes and his...
